ABOUT THE ROLE

Hallett Group are currently seeking an experienced electrician to join our Quarry team based in Truro. The primary focus of this role will be to maintain all electrical systems and processes for our various quarry sites including Truro and Kulpara. Initially, reporting to the Quarry Manager you will work independently and as part of a team to carry out wide range of activities including electrical preventative maintenance, electrical breakdown, new electrical installation work that will help minimise breakdowns, investigate and identify improvement areas to help with optimization of site performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work safely and in line with Halletts core values, lifesaving rules, all company policies and procedures
• Manage/maintain electrical records and associated documentation for site electrical systems
• Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections and testing in planned site shutdowns
• Carry out site installation works on new/old equipment and identify upgrades of existing equipment
• Attend sites for any breakdowns or repairs
• Carry out job planning, including assessing required work equipment, etc.
• Assist with requests to organise quotes and order parts when required to do so

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES

• A Class electrical License (SA) partnered with a strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulations
• Familiar with electrical automation/control systems
• Installation and fault finding experience in an industrial environment
• Current & valid Driver’s licence
• A proactive and positive approach towards workplace health and safety
• Experience in quarry, mining or factories environment (desirable only)
• Elevated Work Platform (above 11m), Working at Heights certification, CPR/LVR and Confined Space Entry (desirable only)
