Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in buildings and structures. The Electrician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment to provide electricity for various purposes. The Electrician installs conduits and pipes to buildings electrical wires and cables. The Electrician ensures that the piping complies with electrical codes. The Electrician installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Electrician is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Reading technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform electrical services in all guests, employees, and public areas on site.
  • Performing general electrical maintenance on the site
  • Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Collect repair and report and document pertinent information.
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
  • Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • All other duties required by Site Engineer

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

At least three-five (3-5) years’ experience working as an electrician.

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
  • Experience with or knowledge of using hand-powered tools.
  • Takes responsibility, pay attention to safety procedures and legal regulations.
  • Troubleshoots problems and makes timely repairs.
  • Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair knowledge.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Adhere to all HESS policies and procedures.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with employees and guests.
  • Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers, and co-workers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be physically fit.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and think critically.
  • Previous work experience preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employees to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be required to work shifts.
