Job Description

Civeo Premium Services Employees LP at the Tse Zul Camp in Faro, Yukon islooking for a Journeyman Electrician. Reporting to the designated supervisor, this role is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing lodge infrastructure including machinery, equipment, electrical, mechanical, heating, and plumbing systems.

  • Hourly Rate: $45.82/ hour
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts
  • Estimated Gross Monthly Earnings: up to $7,500/ per month(Figures are estimates before deductions and may vary based on actual hours worked and payroll cycles)

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish high standards of personal performance with continuous emphasis on achieving quality of work, delivery on time and within budget.
  • Install, maintain, and repair lodge infrastructure, including machinery, equipment, electrical, mechanical, heating, and plumbing systems.
  • Develop and maintain effective methods when installing distribution equipment, such as switch relays, circuit breaker panels and fire alarm control panels.
  • Install underground wiring and cables.
  • Install, replace and repair electrical controls, panel boxes, and lighting fixtures.
  • Splice, join and connect wires.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, and integrity of circuits.
  • Install and repair power generation and power conditioning systems.
  • Read and interpret drawings, Canadian Electrical Code and corresponding project specifications to ensure technical information is current and in compliance with project requirements and building codes.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems, ensure their resolution, and recommend solutions to improve construction operations.
  • Conduct general maintenance of all electrical components and systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Certified Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Electrician.
  • Apprentice 3rd and 4th year Electricians will also be considered.
  • Min 5 years directly related experience preferably in residential, commercial, light industrial construction and renovation industries.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience working with fire alarm systems, security, surveillance, lighting, heating/cooling and heat tracing systems.
  • Knowledge and experience working with portable power generation systems (up to 1 MW).
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work 10 hours per shift in the remote site location
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lb. on a consistent basis.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with certificates in Fall Protection (OSSA), Confined Space (OSSA), CSTS, ESTS, Wilderness/Bear Awareness, Aerial Work Platform, Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tag Out), Arc Flash, Scissor/Boom Lift, and Standard First Aid.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-access Drug and Alcohol test as a condition of employment.
