• Permanent, Full-Time positions available for licensed 422A Industrial Electricians
◦ This position is currently an active vacancy.
• Location: 821 Appleby Line, Burlington Ontario
• Nights Schedule – Sunday to Thursday – 11pm to 7:30am
• Hourly Rate: $43.50/hour plus $2 overnight premium
• End times vary based on production, flexibility will be necessary
• We are a Pork Processing facility
Key Accountabilities:
• Must be fluent in the written and oral English language
• Must comply with all safety regulations, to provide a safe working environment for themselves and the workers in the plant
• Must hold a valid Canadian License as an Electrician
• Working knowledge of electrical high voltage up to 600 V to allow efficient repair/replacement results
• Complete understanding in electrical control wiring and troubleshooting of equipment and MCC Electrical Rooms
• Knowledge of MCC Electrical Power Supply, conveyors, industrial engines, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems and high speed packaging equipment
• Full knowledge of hand and power tools
• Seaming experience
• Performs PMs, PDMs, CM and regular work orders on equipment
• Must have their own tools
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize their workload
• Must be proficient at repairs, troubleshooting and Installation of equipment
• Follows GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules
• Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions
• Perform PM/PDM and regular Work Orders
• Account for Inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
• Conduit/wiring installations
• Programmable logic controllers (PLC’s)
• Maintain all electrical plant equipment as per companies maintenance systems and regulator’s
Requirements
• Must have 422A Industrial License
• Minimum three years’ experience in the Food Industry an asset.
• Must be able to work at height with the proper PPE, can lift and move objects with up to 40lb regularly and work in confined spaces with the appropriate training
• Must have experience in operating mobile equipment such as Counterbalance forklifts and aerial platforms and must hold a valid G driving license
• Experienced in the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical switch gear, motors, drives, electronics, instrumentation, pumps and conveyor systems.
