  • Plan, coordinate, schedule and perform maintenance and preventive maintenance on all electronic systems to include the fire alarms, fence security, PA, CCTV, electric locking and other systems relating to the electronic trade throughout SCDC facilities and institutions.
  • Position requires extensive knowledge of electronic systems and equipment.
  • Must be able to assist other trades as needed.
  • Position involves 24-hour emergency on-call responsibility.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Examples of duties

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and experience in the construction or repair of secondary electrical systems.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and 5 years of trades experience directly related to the area of employment.

  • A degree in the related field of study may be substituted for the 5 years of experience.

Qualifications

Experience utilizing tools, equipment, and materials associated with general maintenance and repair work, including electronic/electrical systems and related fields. Prior experience supervising, directing, Instructing, and working effectively with others is preferred. Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (cdl) or the ability to obtain a CDL within six (6) months of employment.
