Supports management with assigning and scheduling daily operations. Responsible for electrical wiring, modification and maintenance of all electrical systems. Assists other sections in troubleshooting complex electrical problems. Attends assigned meetings.
Essential Functions
Schedules personnel work, performs and schedules the repair of equipment.

Maintains PM documentation to ensure JCAHO compliance, i.e., Generator run logs, battery checks, and other code required maintenance.
Reports daily to Manager as to the general condition of hospital facilities and general progress of work being performed.
Maintains electrical distribution and other electrical related drawings to ensure drawings are up to date and changes are documented. Ensures electrical equipment is labeled and changes to labeling is completed when necessary. -
Maintains and repairs electrical equipment and systems including: fire alarm, nurse call, all electrical power systems and emergency power systems, automatic doors, alarm systems, etc.
Estimates and orders all materials needed to complete jobs. Evaluates on-site stock for critical utility equipment.
Ensures work is performed with awareness for safety and hygiene. Ensures proper Lock out-Tag out procedures are being followed.
Works with employees to resolve problems and discusses misconduct or violations by personnel with manager or director. Assists manager with employee evaluations.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
Experience - 10 years electrical experience. Hospital/healthcare experience preferred.

Valid Driver's License and an acceptable motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) chart
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master or Journeyman License -preferred
Electrical coding requirements.
