Job Description
The Electrician III performs advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair industrial electrical systems. This position is responsible for leading electrical projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards, mentoring junior electricians, and providing technical expertise for complex electrical issues.

- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical problems involving power distribution, lighting, controls, motors, generators, and other electrical systems.
- Lead and coordinate electrical projects, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety policies.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Install and maintain electrical conduits, wiring, panels, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
- Test electrical systems using diagnostic and measurement equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and training to Electrician I and Electrician II staff.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, engineers, and facility personnel as necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and project documentation.
- Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to electrical reliability and operational efficiency.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Journeyman Electrician License required, where applicable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible electrical maintenance and installation experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, NEC, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and electrical drawings.
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, if required.
