Responsible for participating in the installation, maintenance and repair of plant electronic equipment and controls. Researches new technology in instruments and controllers.
Perform monthly inspections on the electrical system.
Inventory plant and truck for tools and parts.
Log work history on the computer.
Routine maintenance on valve positions like Auma and Limitorque.
Installing and setting up controllers for operations.
Perform plant lighting maintenance.
Install new vfd's for flocculators and other machinery and programming.
Check ground water at the Dam, with a piezometer sensor.
Assist maintenance crew when needed.
Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school or equivalent.
Two (2) years’ experience in a related field of work.
Knowledge of the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and HVAC equipment.
Knowledge of all relevant electrical and safety codes.
Knowledge of equipment calibration techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of a variety of lighting fixtures.
Knowledge of shop inventory procedures.
Skill in analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships.
Skill in performing mathematical calculations.
Skill in interpersonal relations.
Skill in oral and written communication.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is heavy work which requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion, sitting, standing, and walking. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed in an office, a wastewater treatment plant, and outdoors. The employee is exposed to noise, machinery with moving parts, contagious diseases, irritating chemicals, and occasional cold or inclement weather. The work requires the use of protective devices such as air packs, chemical suits, masks, goggles, and gloves.
