We have opportunities available for qualified HV/LV Electricians to join our Defence division and support with this long-term contract (initial 6 year term). These are permanent full-time positions offering work-life balance and based at RAAF Tindal.

About the role

You will ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems across multiple sites/bases. We have plently of work if you are only currently qualified for LV, although also open to supporting you to gain HV certifications!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HV and LV electrical systems and equipment.

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.

  • Installing and commissioning electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

  • Working closely with the EU Supervisor to coordinate and prioritise tasks and projects.

  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely, adhering to Health and Safety regulations and best practices.

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs conducted on electrical systems.

  • Providing technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders as required.

  • Participating in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry standards and advancements.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with either HV or LV electrical systems.

  • Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults and issues.

  • Experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation.

  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices in an electrical environment.

  • Relevant trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Valid driver's licence.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
