The position:?We’re looking for an Electrician to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who can perform maintenance and upkeep of electrical systems for SHA.
The Location: 810 Martin Luther King Jr Way S. Seattle, WA 98144??
The ideal candidate will have:
- Completion of formal apprentice training work experience as an electrician.
- High school or equivalent education as required by the trade apprenticeship program.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License and fully insurable driving record.
- State approved license in residential and commercial wiring.
- First Aid Certification required.
What will you do?
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical and electronic systems and components in commercial and residential properties.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lighting systems, electrical controls, phone systems, automatic doors and gates, emergency power systems, and transfer switches.
- Purchase or order electrical and electronic supplies as needed.
- Inspect equipment and recommend actions related to condition, safety, and parts procurement.
- Instruct tenants on proper use of electrical equipment.
- Support development and implementation of goals, work plans, performance measures, and continuous improvement; collaborate effectively and work well under pressure.
- Attend required training and safety meetings; maintain PPE; report injuries, illnesses, and hazardous conditions; follow all safety and health guidelines.
- Create required reports such as maintenance work orders or timesheets.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
