⚡ Contract Electricians Required | Reading | Work until 2027 ⚡
We're recruiting experienced Electricians for a long-term commercial construction project in the Reading area.
Working with an established M&E contractor, you'll be involved in the construction of new office and support facilities within a large-scale engineering and infrastructure environment.
📍 Location: Reading
📅 Contract Duration: Work until 2027
🗓️ Start Date: Subject to onboarding and site access requirements
💷 Pay & Benefits
£30.00 per hour
£1,500 gross per week based on 50 hours worked
10-hour days, Monday to Friday
£60 per night lodge allowance & Travel time (where applicable, if travelling more than 50 miles to site)
Additional overtime opportunities may become available as the project progresses
🔧 Scope of Works
Commercial containment installation
Cable pulling and termination
Lighting and power installations
Distribution equipment installation
General commercial electrical works
✅ Requirements
ECS/JIB Card
Previous commercial electrical installation experience
Ability to work within a secure and safety-critical environment
🔐 Security & Site Access
As part of the onboarding process, successful applicants will complete a Basic DBS Check and BPSS clearance.
If you've not completed BPSS before, our team will guide you through the process and provide support throughout.
⏱️ The onboarding process, including BPSS clearance and a Basic DBS check, is typically completed within 1-2 weeks.
