Job Location: McClung Management Legal Address (K1) - Kilgore, TX 75662Position Overview:
Installs and maintains electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems for compressor units.
Responsibilities/Job Duties
- Installs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures
- Installs conduits and pipe
- Ensures piping complies with electrical codes
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation
- Replaces conduit and wiring as needed
- Replaces circuit breakers as needed
- Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
- Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules
- Adhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gear
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirement
- Need minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read panel prints
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
- Ability to strip wires
- Ability to wire terminal strips
- Ability to read a tape measure in US units
- Ability to read a level
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Welding knowledge such as GMAW/MIG hard-wire and tacking braces and brackets
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Competency test: Strip and crimp wiring, show understanding of panel print
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions
- Outdoor and Plant Environment with adjusting temperatures and climate
Upon Employment
- Complete a Safety overview from the EHS & Facilities Manager
- Complete a Quality overview from the Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Manager
