Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. The Role

An opportunity exists for experienced Maintenance Electricians, who are self-motivated and committed to developing a culture motivated by safety, quality and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work safely to optimise equipment reliability and availability, ensuring fleet performance and other targets are achieved across the business.

You will be primarily responsible for;

  • Following maintenance and service plans within the weekly maintenance plan process focused on auto-electrical systems and installations on mobile and where required fixed equipment.
  • Clearly understanding fleet targets for the department and be actively involved in identifying and eliminating inefficiencies within the electrical domain.
  • Using your skills as a tradesperson effectively, so that budgeted fleet performance is achieved.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • A relevant trade qualification.
  • Experience in maintaining and servicing excavators, drills, mobile earthmoving equipment and fixed plant.
  • Commitment to embracing new skills, opportunities and responsibilities.

The ideal applicant will be a skilled Field Electrician with strong experience maintaining/servicing heavy mobile mining equipment. Demonstrated experience with Caterpillar and Terex drilling equipment, together with Caterpillar and Liebherr hydraulic excavators would be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a service team, using a methodical approach to electrical fault-finding and servicing. Strong capability across machine electrical systems, electronic controls, PLC/control systems, CAN communications, instrumentation and associated hydraulic/electrical interfaces is desirable.

Experience working in field maintenance environments centred around planned maintenance, and where applicable breakdowns/diagnostics will be highly regarded. This role will predominately undertake planned maintenance activities, with deployment to complex breakdowns periodically.
