Purpose and Impact:

​​The Maintenance Electrician functions as a key member of a multi-skilled team tosafely and effectively maintain facility infrastructureand critical. The Maintenance Electrician provides a professional service in the execution of technical repair & maintenance of all assigned facility infrastructure equipment. This includes elements of planning, organization, coordination, scheduling, training, mentoring, and resource management associated with the day-to-day maintenance of the facility.

The Maintenance Electricianis responsible forthe efficient andtimelyidentification and completion of maintenance work tasks and ensuringhigh levelsof service aremaintained This role also ensures that the Maintenance Electrician completes repairs and maintenance of all equipment in a manner that maximizes productivity and equipment reliability.

The Maintenance Electrician is a member of a small team of experienced tradespeople responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of multiple system components and equipment that supports both mission and routine business operations, as well as responding to unscheduled repairs. Within this team the Maintenance Electrician must contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the implementation of improvement initiatives and technical advance as well as having the ability to think on their feet and complete assigned tasks to a high standard.

This position works closely with the Facilities Operations Team, other Facilities Maintainers and OASIS departments to foster, promote andmaintainbest-practice standards and enable reliable,consistentand effective maintenance and operation of facility systems. This role is key to the success of the broader O&M team and thus also works closely with all Facilities O&M personnel in the delivery of high-quality facility O&M services to enable the mission​

Work Schedule:

​​Day shift – 5 days per week, 8 hours per day​

Essential Responsibilities:

• ​​Operate andmaintainfacility infrastructure,systemsand equipment.

• ​Repair malfunctions by such methods as replacing burned out elements, fuses and replacing defective wiring. Clean and repair electrical motors. Test electrical equipment such as motors, heaters and controls for safety and efficiency using standard test equipment and byobservingfunctions. [1]

• ​Execute rapid and reliableresponseto abnormal facility operational situations and emergencies; including equipment repair when necessary. [1]

• ​Effectively liaise and communicate with peers to ensure best-practice standardization,coverageand continuous individual and team improvement.

• ​Monitor andfacilitatethe update of technical drawings, panelschedulesand equipment operating procedures.

• ​Maintain a complete and current working understanding of all relevant facilities infrastructure,equipmentand systems.

• ​Responsible for theaccurateandtimelycompletion of job-related documents, such as Work Orders, time sheets and safety reports. Job-related documentation requires inputting and processing information frompaper WorkOrders into digitalsystems.

• ​Install new electrical equipment and infrastructure as requested

• ​Any other reasonable duties as requested​

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

​​Personnelare required tobe medically fit to work and safely complete all physical tasks associated with the role in which they are employed. This includes but is not limited to being able to carry and control moderate to heavy loads and being able to safely traverse and access maintenance environments which may be uneven or cramped​

Security Clearance Required:

​​It is a condition that employees obtain andretaintheappropriate levelof security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will initiallyrequirea NV1 with the intent of applying for a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defense Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance​

Minimum Years of Experience:

• ​​4 years post trade experience. ​

• Australian candidates must hold and be able tomaintainan Australian "A" Grade Electrical License,

• US candidates must hold andmaintaina minimum of a US State Journeyman’s License

• US candidates from Arizona must hold andmaintaina US State "Contractors" License.

• ​Strong understanding of Work Health & Safety policies & procedures;

• ​Demonstrated understanding and experience working within Facility Maintenance or similar technical environment;

• ​Strong understanding and knowledge of technical terminology relating to Electrical infrastructure

• ​Demonstrated capacity to gain understanding and appreciation across other relevant technical areas such as High Voltage and Power Generation.;

• ​Demonstratedhigh levelof problem solving, decision making and analytical skills;

• ​4yearspost trade experience

​Desirable ​

• ​Enterprise Resource Planning experience. (SAP)

• ​Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• ​Proficient level of computer skills

• ​Industrial Electrical experience

• ​Power Distribution experience

• ​Understanding of Industrial Control Circuits

• ​Experience with diverse range of power distribution equipment highly regarded
