RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides services required for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical components. Ensures prompt and proficient performance of assigned duties. Complies with UH and departmental policies and procedures. Maintains good guest and working relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school graduation or equivalent required. A minimum of two years working as a journeyman or apprentice electrician required. Must have a basic understanding of safety practices, state and local electrical codes, electrical circuits, motors, switches and switching gear. The ability to speak, read, and write English, make simple calculations, and follow simple written and oral directions is required. One year as a hospital electrician preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State driver’s license “Class C” and must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
