Work. Ready for a role where no two days are the same — and your work actually keeps communities running? Join Sunwater as an Electrician and help power and maintain essential water infrastructure in Clare and the Burdekin region, right in the heart of North Queensland.
This is more than a standard electrical role. You’ll be out in the field, working across a diverse network of assets, solving real problems and keeping critical systems running. From planned maintenance to urgent fixes, you’ll play a hands‑on role in keeping water flowing to farms, towns and industry.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll travel across the region to access key sites—including more remote assets—giving you variety and the chance to work in some incredible locations. The role includes an on‑call roster, so you’ll need to be comfortable with occasional after‑hours and weekend work.
This role can suit someone looking to relocate and enjoy the lifestyle Clare has to offer, or an experienced electrician who knows the region and is looking for a new opportunity.
What you bring:
On offer is a strong package including competitive salary + on‑call allowance, 12.75% super, TOIL, 17.5% leave loading and real focus on work/life balance.
Water. Clare and the Burdekin region offers something special—wide open spaces, a close‑knit community and easy access to North Queensland’s best lifestyle perks, from the reef to the outback. At Sunwater, what you do truly matters. You’ll help deliver water to agriculture, towns and industry—supporting livelihoods and regional growth every single day.
Life. We know that a great role is about more than just the job—it’s about the life you build around it. That’s why we support our people with flexibility, benefits and opportunities to grow.

We are a diverse team and proud of the unique journeys and stories each person brings.
