Basic Job Functions:

The Electrician will apply their knowledge of engineering and maintenance principles to support our maintenance and production teams through electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair across assigned areas of our mill and will be required to work at varying heights throughout our facility at any given time. This role requires a safety-first mindset and a commitment to world-class reliability. Candidates will also be required to demonstrate a genuine interest in building trusted relationships, continuous improvement, and both learning and teaching. The position operates on a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

2+ Years’ experience with industrial electrical maintenance troubleshooting and repair

Experience working with a medium - high voltage systems

Maintenance Systems and Techniques - Knowledge of servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment. Knowledge of electrical theory, including troubleshooting, installation, repair and/or maintenance of electronic equipment to include PC, PLC, PID control and visualization programming, AC motors and drives, maintenance and control of DC motors, electrical, pneumatic and , hydraulic LOTO, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting, industrial motor starter circuit layout and troubleshooting, industrial instrumentation and the usage and limitations of various electrical troubleshooting tools and instruments.

Mechanical Knowledge - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and/or maintenance.
