Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking two Electricians to join a newly acquired client within a large, high-traffic transport environment. These are newly created positions, offering the opportunity to be part of a growing team supporting a critical, 24/7 operation.

Working closely with Facilities Managers, the FM Hub, and other on-site trades, you will support the delivery of electrical maintenance services to ensure assets remain safe, reliable, and operational. Your work will contribute to keeping a highly visible environment running smoothly, with a strong focus on safety, responsiveness, and teamwork.

The ideal candidate is reliable, collaborative, and solutions-focused, with a calm approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and corrective electrical maintenance across a range of systems and assets
  • Respond to service requests, faults, and breakdowns in a timely and safe manner
  • Participate in a shift-based roster supporting 24/7 operations
  • Complete work orders accurately within CMMS systems, including clear documentation
  • Support minor upgrades, replacements, and improvement works
  • Follow all safety processes, permits, and compliance requirements
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and teams to coordinate activities
  • Contribute to identifying recurring issues and supporting long-term improvements

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Trade qualification as a licensed Electrician
  • Current electrical licence relevant to NSW
  • Experience in maintenance within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure environments
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
  • Understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with CMMS or work order systems
  • Knowledge of WHS and electrical safety standards
  • Ability to work within a shift-based roster, including evenings or weekends if required
  • Clear communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Desirable:

  • Experience in transport, aviation, or critical infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to fast-paced, highly visible operational sites
  • ASIC clearance (or ability to obtain)

Workplace Flexibility

This role is based on-site in Mascot within a 24/7 operational environment. Tools of the trade are provided, PPE, iPad, iPhone, and uniform, along with tool of the trade vehicle.
