We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our mining team. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the mining operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, transformers, generators, and lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Test electrical systems and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other personnel to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in outdoor and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 30 kg).
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
