He kupu mō mātou | About usOur Lichfield Site sits in the heart of the Waikato, manufacturing several products including a range of award-winning cheeses exported internationally to a global market and into our NZ Mainland Products, through both our Dry Salt & Brine Salt Plants, as well Whole Milk Powder in the largest Dryer in the world. Included on Site is our Whey Plant, producing whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate used in medical and nutritional products. We’re a high-profile plant with a niche product mix nestled between Hamilton and Rotorua. Lichfield is also central to Tauranga, Taupo and Waitomo offering the perfect blend of work-life balance.
Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our high-performing Maintenance Team at our Lichfield site. This role focuses on Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance, supporting the reliability and performance of our plant operations. You will apply your technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair breakdowns, implement preventative maintenance strategies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, highly automated environment, working with cutting-edge technology across high voltage systems, instrumentation, process control, and automation.
Mōu | About YouWe are looking for an individual who can remain calm under pressure when responding to unplanned breakdowns and will confidently troubleshoot issues as they occur. With your forward-thinking drive and ability to achieve results you’ll have plenty of scope to drive continuous improvement on equipment with some of our industry's cutting edge automated technology. You’ll be a strong problem solver with strong attention and excellent communication skills that will see you working collaboratively within the team and across the site.
We want to hear from you if you have:
  • A New Zealand Electrical Registration with a current practising licence.
  • Experience in industrial electrical maintenance functions such as equipment repair, failure analysis to root cause and preventative maintenance.
  • Exposure to a fast-paced automated and industrial environment.
  • Hands on experience with PLC automation systems and instrumentation.
  • Great computer literacy skills and ideally experience with SAP.
  • Experience within the food, dairy or farming industry is highly desirable.
