ASRC Federal Communications is seeking an Electrician for our ISS2 contact supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Wake Island. It’s a rotational position in which the selected employee will work a schedule of 3 months on the island and on month off unpaid, Wake Island is 2,100 miles away from HNL. While working on-site housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. You are responsible for the flight from your home base to HNL. Transportation to wake island is provided by government sponsored aircraft. This is a negotiated union position.

Essential Duties & Job Functions
• Responsible for installation and construction with some maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment
• Knowledge of the proper use of standard wire, conduit, fittings and hardware commonly found in industrial plants.
• Read and understand conduit drawings, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction, including but not limited to:
◦ hydraulic/electric benders,
◦ knockout punch sets,
◦ cable puller, meggers,
◦ hi-pot equipment,
◦ volt meters,
◦ multi-testers
◦ ammeter
• Able to set and coordinate over-current protective devices, size feeder circuits and basic understanding to work on systems across the island.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Journeyman Electrician's License
• Ability to perform associated mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of safety management
• Strong MS Office and other computer skills
• Knowledge of pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rules
• Ability to speak, write and read English.
• Must have state drives licenses and acceptable record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, fingerprints, and drug screening.
• Candidates must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
