Job Description

Job Title: Full Time – Skilled Maintenance (Electrician)
Department: Stadium Systems
Reports to: Project Director MEP & Construction
Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Rate of pay: $37.75 - $51.29/hour

The Electrician will be involved in all phases of the Building Electrical Distribution System as well as connecting and maintaining various telecommunications apparatus and components, including assembling related equipment used in providing voice, data, CATV, card systems, coach headsets, fire alarm, security camera and special circuits.

Essential Accountabilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair all building distribution equipment, including, but not limited to, single phase, low voltage systems and lighting, single and three phase equipment to High Voltage Substation Equipment. Performs Preventative Maintenance on said equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair all concession stand equipment and perform Preventative Maintenance on said equipment.
• Prepares, and tests, all the Home and Visiting Team headset equipment prior to each home game. Provides direction for supporting staff on the field during home games.
• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm and security camera devices and infrastructure. Including Preventative Maintenance activities on said equipment.
• Install, test and maintain subscriber locations for CATV service offerings; CATV and Cable Modem. Assist in connection of television, audio and wireless networking equipment.
• Install, test and maintain circuits described in the Special Circuits offerings, including fiber.
• Assists other Engineering disciplines when deemed necessary by the Stadium Systems Manager.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Competencies:
• Journeyman or Master Electrician License
• 5 or more years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of backup generators, emergency power systems, lighting control systems, OSHA safety standards, and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of low voltage and audio-visual systems.
• Ability to interpret and review electrical drawings, plans, and submittals.
• Skilled in operating trade-related equipment.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform manual labor for extended periods; often on a ladder. Repetitive bending and lifting of items with repetitive arm movements.
• Ability to push and pull objects, reach, bend, sit and/or stand, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to walk long distances and stand.
• Lift and/or move up to 75lbs, sometimes over shoulder

Expectations:
• High school education/GED equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred.
• Journeyman experience preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Reports to work each day on time and works extra hours when needed, particularly during event weeks where long hours will be required.
• Employee must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, painting chemical, reporting incidents, etc.).
• Provides an excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
• The employee must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
• Candidate must be a team player and can work effectively and professionally when working independently.
• Maintains a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must undergo and pass a background check.
• Position requires joining the SEIU Local #1 Union.
• This role includes significant overtime opportunities based on seniority, and all tools are provided by the company at no out-of-pocket expense.
• Expected to work in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat, and inclement weather.
• Position is part of a larger snow removal support system and may be called in for emergency repairs as needed.
