A licensed electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems, reading blueprints, troubleshooting issues with testing devices, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Key duties include installing circuits, control systems, and lighting, performing preventative maintenance, repairing faults, and potentially training apprentices, all while adhering to strict safety and code standards for commercial or industrial settings.
Valid licensed electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience (e.g., Journeyman, Master)
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, systems, applications and principles
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to safety and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to use all types of hand and power tools
Knowledge of electrical systems, pumps, motors and transformers
Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
Read, write, and communicate verbally in English
Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours, if required
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requires 100% mobility to include frequent standing, bending and reaching from floor to 6ft., climbing using ladders and stairs
Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 60 lbs.
Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity
Requires normal sense of smell, touch, and sound
Requires normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbols
Requires communicating by telephone, beeper, and radio
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, dust, small and/or high working space
