Job Description

Performs skilled services in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  1. Have a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Graduate from a vocational-technical school with a certificate in electrical technology required, or or completion of an apprenticeship program required

Experience:

  1. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as an electrician.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  1. Strong understanding of electrical theory
  2. Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical diagrams
  3. Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems
  4. Knowledge of electrical codes
  5. Expertise in using various electrical tools and testing equipment
  6. Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
  7. Ensuring accuracy and precision in all electrical work.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent hand-eye coordination
  9. Good communication skills are important for collaborating with other tradespeople and clients

License/Certification/Registration:

  1. Valid driver license required.
  2. Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Performs duties under minimal supervision from Facilities Manager and supervisor.
