Job Description

• Perform electrical installation and termination of solar PV components: inverters, solar panels, combiner boxes, distribution boards, grounding, etc.
• Carry out testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of solar PV systems.
• Ensure compliance with TAQADEWA standards and regulations during site activities.
• Assist in the layout and wiring of AC and DC circuits per the approved designs.
• Support inspections and handovers with utility representatives and consultants.
• Coordinate with project engineers and site supervisors to ensure smooth progress.
• Maintain proper documentation of installations, testing reports, and site logs.
• Ensure safe work practices as per HSE guidelines.

Requirements:

• Valid TAQA or DEWA-approved Electrician license (Mandatory).
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in solar PV system installation (roof-top or ground-mounted).
• ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
• Knowledge of single-line diagrams, AC/DC systems, and voltage levels up to 400V.
• Ability to use tools, multimeters, insulation testers, and other testing equipment.
• Understanding of UAE electrical safety codes and solar installation guidelines.
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on utility-scale or commercial/industrial solar projects.
• Previous involvement in projects with TAQA, ADDC, DEWA, or FEWA.
• Basic understanding of inverter settings, grid synchronization, and O&M protocols.
