Job Description

You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work, both physically and mentally.

You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.

In this role, you'll:

be an essential part of the team that keeps Sydney’s rail service moving and the community connected.

You’ll make a real impact by ensuring trains run safely and efficiently every single day.

You have the skills to take on a diverse and challenging role - servicing, maintaining, and repairing critical systems like electrical controls, power generation, lighting, air conditioning, refrigeration, and more. You’ll also work on mechanical systems including engines, doors, and brakes, applying your problem-solving abilities to keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll be based at our Eveleigh 24-hour maintenance centre in a permanent, full-time position. Your roster will include weekends, nights and public holidays, giving you the opportunity to be part of a team that never stops delivering for Sydney.

About you

You’ve earned your electrical trade qualification, at least a Certificate III in Electrical Engineering, and you bring with you a solid foundation of industry experience.

You have hands-on experience in systems, fault finding, maintenance, and repair. Combine that with your collaborative spirit, adaptability, confidence to work both independently and within a close-knit team, and your strong commitment to safety.

If you also hold Air Conditioning and Refrigeration licences, that is desirable. If not, don’t worry - we’ll invest in you with additional training to help you grow even further.
