In this role, you'll:

Be part of the team that keeps the rail service moving! You’ll be based in Tempe and play an important role in ensuring Sydney Trains is providing safe and efficient service to the community.

You’ll be involved in the maintenance, repair and inspection of the electrical components, systems and equipment of the fleet – this could range from control circuitry, to doors, lightings, control modules, engine components, and more.

Work within a team alongside other trade professionals in the depot, and occasionally you’ll be called out to sites help with repairs. Your day-to-day tasks will vary and this role offers training and professional development.

This is a permanent, full-time position with the base being a 24-hour operating centre, as a result the roster will include weekends and nights.

About you

Whilst experience is of great importance, this role does require a relevant qualification (trade qualified electrician).

In addition to the qualification, you have relevant experience in systems, fault finding, maintenance and repair.

Combine the above with a collaborative and adaptable nature, ability to work autonomously and within a small team, and a safety-focused approach to your work, then this could be the perfect role for you.

This is a Wages Grade OPERAT 8, permanent full-time role based out of our 24-hour operating base in Tempe.
