You as a Electrician will:

  • Prioritize & respond to service calls from Helpdesk for the full range of building infrastructure equipment and systems, assesses and perform required repairs or call in appropriate resource.
  • Work independently with sound judgement during stressful times as position will be key member of PRH FM first response team to incidents including Power Outage, Fire Alarms, Nurse Call, Access Control, etc.
  • Troubleshoot facility operational issues; work with suppliers, contractors and team members to develop solutions that provide optimum event resolution.
  • Working with project team, consult with program departments regarding specifications and other project requirements; interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine required labour & materials.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, repair & replacement to equipment found in an Acute Care Hospital environment, utilize CMMS system to record service & equipment information.
  • Supervise maintenance workers and other designated staff or contractors by directing, scheduling and coordinating work assignments related to maintenance, repairs and project work.
  • Utilizing various computer control systems monitor equipment & facility infrastructure, recommend maintenance, repairs or replacements as required.
  • Perform other general maintenance and repair duties related to building, grounds and equipment in a variety of areas as required/assigned within competency.

Is this the right role for you?

  • 4+ years recent related experience including experience in control systems.
  • Certificate of competency as Journeyman Electrician and certificate of competency as Field Safety Rep. Class “B” recognized by the Province of British Columbia
  • Ability and experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications.
  • Ability and experience operating related equipment and physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License.
