Job Description

PURPOSE OF ACTIVITIES

The purpose of the electrician is to perform general repair, troubleshooting, upgrading and installation of equipment essential to plant operations at the MACtac facility in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The electrician is responsible for the following:

• Repair and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery as necessary;
• Upgrade of equipment and machinery to prevent breakdown or improve efficiency;
• Installation of new equipment or processes within the plant.

The electrician's schedule is generated by a supervisor based on work order requests provided by various MACtac departments. Work orders are placed in each individual electrician's mail box prior to and during each shift. Schedules are reserved if a line breakdown occurs. The voltage limit for work performed by the electrician is 600 volts.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• There is moderate variance between day-to-day activities.
• The electrician will spend the majority of the work shift throughout all production areas of the MACtac facility.
• There is limited paperwork associated with this position (log book and work forms).
• The electrician does not generally assist with other job classifications.
• The voltage limit for work performed by the electrician is 600 volts.
