Job Category: GovernmentMayvin is seeking a highly motivated Electrical/Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or systems engineering combined with hands-on experience in computer networking. This role provides a broad range of support to a Technical Security Program with an enhanced level of expertise.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Responsibilities:
- Perform research, selection, modification, design, and/or development of Technical Security equipment and systems
- Design, develop, and maintain network systems, equipment, and infrastructure
- Provide technical support, perform failure analysis, and troubleshoot issues with installed Technical Security and network systems
- Conduct research and development to improve existing systems and develop new technologies
- Resolve or recommend solutions to overlapping and conflicting security requirements by utilizing knowledge, skills, and abilities, including the ability to interpret various directives, rules, and regulations
- Provide a broad range of support to the Technical Security Program with an enhanced level of expertise
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, preferably from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Experience with computer-aided design tools, such as AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles, protocols, and architecture
- Must be willing to conduct shift work and travel as needed
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with electrical standards and codes such as IEEE, IEC, and NEC
- Professional IT or Computer networking certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or others
- Experience in high-level systems design and quality control/quality assurance frameworks
- Experience in the construction, accreditation, and security requirements of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) as directed by ICD 705
