Labour Hire Contract | Approx. 4–5 Months | AGA Group Training

AGA Group Training is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Electrical Trade Assistant to support electrical works on a solar farm project. This is a hands-on labour hire contract opportunity for approximately 4–5 months, suited to someone with construction, electrical, renewables, or trade assistant experience who enjoys working outdoors as part of a busy project team.

About the Role:

Working under the direction of qualified electricians and site supervisors, you will assist with a range of electrical and general site tasks to help deliver project works safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Duties:

  • Assist electricians with installation, preparation, and general electrical support tasks on site.
  • Handle, move, and organise tools, equipment, cable, materials, and components.
  • Support cable management, conduit, trenching, pulling cables, and basic installation preparation as directed.
  • Carry out general labouring, site clean-up, and housekeeping duties.
  • Follow site safety procedures, SWMS, and instructions from supervisors and qualified tradespeople.
  • Work safely in an outdoor construction environment and contribute to a positive team culture.

About you:

You will be dependable, physically fit, and comfortable working in a construction-based environment. You will have a strong focus on safety, be able to follow instructions, and be willing to work as part of a team on a renewable energy project.

Essential Requirements:

  • Construction White Card.
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Trade Assistant, labourer, or construction site worker, preferred but not essential
  • Ability to undertake physical, hands-on work in outdoor conditions.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Reliable transport and current driver’s licence preferred.
  • Ability to pass any required site, medical, drug and alcohol, or onboarding checks.

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience on solar farms, renewable energy projects, civil construction, or industrial sites.
  • EWP, forklift, telehandler, or other relevant high-risk tickets.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and site equipment.
