About the Role
Our Energy & Utilities business is seeking Electrical Trades Assistants with either Substation or Heavy Industrial experience to join us on both brownfield and greenfield construction projects in South Australia. As a successful applicant, you will be working in a small team undertaking hands-on electrical works in high-voltage substation environments, supporting the safe, compliant, and productive delivery of utility-scale projects for TNSPs and DNSPs. The position goes beyond general duties and is focused on specialist substation activities, strict safety controls, and working within EA-driven project environments. These positions are local to Adelaide on a 5/2 roster.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Operating plant and equipment in green field and brown field environments

• Excavations, grouting, general duties assisting with any manual tasks

• Assisting with cable installations and High Voltage Equipment installs

• Undertaking Rigging, Dogging, or telehandler tasks as required

• Working safely within live and high-risk environments under permit-to-work systems

• Working flexible hours including shutdowns, night works, weekend works and roster cycles in line with project requirements and the Enterprise Agreement

About You

• Demonstrated experience in substations, utilities, or large-scale electrical infrastructure projects
• Confident working in high-risk HV environments with strict safety and compliance requirements
• Ability to work effectively on EA-covered projects, including shift work, roster cycles, and remote work as required
• A strong safety mindset and the discipline required for regulated network environments
• Exceptional communication and time management skills
