We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Global Services Energy, Doha, Qatar for a

Electrical Technician – High Voltage

Job Purpose:

To optimize production downtime when executing maintenance activities contributing to the development and review of risk assessments.

Your main duties will be to: -

Main Role

  • To optimize the reliability and availability of equipment under area of responsibility through completing maintenance Activities in accordance with NOC approved operation procedures, guidelines, legislative
    requirements and industry best practice. Strategic Planning & Direction
  • Identify opportunities and champion initiatives that enable maximum production and injection output within the parameters of environmental compliance and process safety.
  • Provide Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results. Be held accountable for area of responsibility.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties, functional teams and corporate groups as required to meet NOC strategic business and operational objectives.
  • Contribute to improvements, development and implementation of department activities, processes and procedures. Operational
  • Complete safe and efficient replacement and repair activities in the event of failure or malfunction ensuring quick restoration; troubleshoot malfunctions and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Optimize production and uptime when executing maintenance activities which require shut down / isolation or equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and report repetitive equipment failures.
  • Prepare adequate documentation and reporting for offshore management consideration regarding wrong design, poor workmanship, non-compliance to NOC standards; take appropriate


Profile

Ideally, you will have graduated with a minimum of a higher secondary school education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).

Recognised High Voltage Certification/Authorisation.

Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years offshore-level and working on high-voltage electrical systems (typically 6.6 kV, 11 kV, or above).

You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication

You will have good interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
