About the Role

The Mining Area C Fixed Plant Electrical team are seeking enthusiastic Electrical Technicians to support the team at our Mining Area C Operations conducting Electrical maintenance and repairs on large-scale mining equipment. This position will involve Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of all plant equipment whilst maintaining a high-level working knowledge of safety processes.

Working an 8 days on 6 days off, 7 Nights on 7 days off roster and reporting to the Shift Electrical Supervisor your duties will include:

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities
  • Safely conduct planned and unplanned Electrical Maintenance activities
  • Comply with Electrical standards, Weekly Work Schedule, Operating Standards and Procedures.
  • Working effectively with other Fixed Plant Department team members, including contracting partners.
  • Building relationships across Site and Functions to achieve a positive and inclusive working environment for task execution
  • Monitoring of asset electrical integrity and compliance to statutory maintenance & inspection requirements
  • Demonstrating, supporting and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
  • Complete quality, task-based risk assessments
  • Electrical testing of new and modified installations

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

  • WA Electrical Trades License
  • National Accredited High Voltage Switching Operations
  • Current Australian C class Drivers Licence
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Electrical Maintenance of Fixed Plant equipment
  • Experience working with High Voltage, Instrumentation, PLC controls systems.
  • Experience in understanding schematic drawings and fault finding
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a desire to develop and learn
  • Certificate IV Instrumentation highly considered
  • Experience in use of 1SAP and FIORI Work Management Processes highly considered
