Job Description
We are looking for a talented and skilled Electrical Technician in Ferro Silicon Plant to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. You will be responsible to perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant. Support electrical installation, testing and maintenance activities while comply with HSE requirements.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems. Inspect, diagnose, troubleshooting, repair, and replace faulty electrical components including motors, MCCs, transformers, switchgear, cables, lighting systems, and other plant electrical equipment to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Support the installation, inspection, testing, energization, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems. Verify equipment readiness and work closely with the Project, Operations, and Engineering teams.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment to identify abnormalities and recommend corrective actions. Complete maintenance work orders, inspection reports, equipment history records, and maintenance documentation accurately while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Support RCA investigations, inspect critical electrical spare parts, and maintain accurate SAP records to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
- Perform all electrical maintenance activities in accordance with company HSE policies, electrical safety standards, and isolation procedures. Maintain good housekeeping and work closely with Operations, Mechanical, and Project teams to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Maintenance, Industrial Electrical Systems, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical Certificate: Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in ferro silicon, steel industry, or heavy industry operations.
- Diploma: Minimum 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in ferro silicon, steel industry, or heavy
industry operations.
Relevant experience may include:
- Experience in maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, power distribution systems, and other industrial electrical equipment.
- Prior experience in ferroalloy plants, steel plants, smelters, power plants, or similar continuous process industries.
- Exposure to preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance in high-temperature industrial environments.

- Ability to perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Ability to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment including motors, MCCs, transformers, switchgear, cables, and associated control systems.
- Ability to support installation, commissioning, testing, and energization of electrical equipment and systems.
- Ability to identify electrical abnormalities, analyze faults, and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, work orders, and equipment history documentation.
- Ability to use electrical testing instruments and tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to support maintenance activities during breakdowns, shutdowns, and project execution activities.
- Strong adherence to Safety Standards, SOPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical isolation procedures, and emergency procedures.
- Strong coordination, communication, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
