SUPERVISOR:        Electrical Manager

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for assisting the electrical manager in electrical maintenance and repair of housing and campus buildings. He will also assist the electrical manager in leadership of any part-time electrical technicians. It is expected that the applicant be 22 years old and with a clean driving record.
I.    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (What duties are required for the position to exist?
· Completion of work orders
· Assisting with campus and housing projects
· Preventative maintenance of campus buildings
II.    OTHER DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES (Responsibilities/important duties performed occasionally or in addition to the essential duties of the position.)
· Communication with housing tenants
· Communication with various departments across campus
· Overseeing the preventative maintenance section of the electrical department

· Ability to work in crawl spaces
V.    WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
· Work outdoors in cold winter weather.
· Work outdoors in the high heat summers.
· Work involves heights, crawl spaces, attics, and basements
Electrical work can be dangerous. Employees are expected to implement safety protocols and procedures.
