Job Description

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the positions below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.

Position: Electrical Supervisor (Gas & Appliances)

Contract: 3-years renewable contract

Location: Ibadan

Closing Date: 29 June 2026

DUTIES:

  • Perform repair and servicing of all electric and gas cookers both domestic and industrial.
  • Perform repair and servicing of all washing machines both domestic and industrial.
  • Perform repair and servicing of all dryers both domestic and industrial.
  • Repair and service industrial dish washer both industrial and domestic.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of all boilers both industrial and domestic.
  • Fill and supply gas for domestic, laboratory and industrial use.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of electric and gas water heater.
  • Ensure there is smooth running of activities in gas and appliances workshops.
  • Take proper records of all appliances available in the store and those in the domestic area.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

HND/BSc in Electrical Electronics Engineering or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Sound technical and mechanical maintenance skills.
  • Strong preventive maintenance capabilities.
  • Effective technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
