The role will also involve maintaining accurate records, managing documentation and ensuring information is consistently recorded across multiple work packages.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, long-term programme with the potential to develop as the project expands.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Allocating work areas, setting priorities and managing daily work schedules.

  • Ensuring consistent standards of quality, productivity and safety across all teams.
  • Maintaining master Excel trackers and ensuring accurate information is recorded.
  • Managing PDF mark-ups, drawing revisions and document control.
  • Reviewing submitted information and identifying discrepancies between trackers and drawings.
  • Resolving queries and ensuring outstanding issues are followed through to completion.
  • Preparing organised, client-ready documentation and submission packs.
  • Monitoring progress across multiple work packages and reporting on issues, upcoming activities and completed works.
  • Supporting the improvement of reporting templates, checklists and working procedures.
  • Ensuring all site teams follow health and safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with project management, client representatives and site personnel.

Requirements

  • Parliament Pass required. Candidates with a current pass are preferred. Candidates who have previously held a Parliament Pass and are keen to renew it are also welcome to apply.
  • Previous supervisory experience managing site teams or multiple work packages.
  • Electrical trade background with a strong technical understanding of electrical installations.
  • 18th Edition qualification or equivalent technical knowledge.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or ECS Gold Card preferred; equivalent trade experience will also be considered.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification, or willingness to obtain.
  • ECS/CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Asbestos Awareness certificate.
  • Working at Heights certificate.
  • Strong Excel skills, including maintaining trackers, checking discrepancies and managing data.
  • Experience with PDF mark-ups, document control and revision management.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to quality assurance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple teams and maintain consistent processes across different work packages.
  • Awareness of working within sensitive environments, such as live public buildings and heritage sites.
  • Specialist electrical systems experience is advantageous. Please highlight any relevant specialist skills or experience when applying.

Benefits

  • £250 – £300 per day, depending on experience.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
  • Ongoing, long-term programme.
  • Out-of-hours work may be available at enhanced rates, but this is not part of the standard working schedule.
  • Work carried out on-site in Westminster, London.

How to Apply

About Heated Mechanical Services Ltd

Heated Mechanical Services is a Kent-based mechanical contractor delivering coordinated plumbing, heating and renewable energy solutions across Kent, London and the wider South East.

We work with main contractors, developers, architects and consultants on commercial, new-build, refurbishment and low-carbon projects. From pre-construction and design development through to installation, commissioning and maintenance, we provide dependable support throughout the project lifecycle.

Our capabilities include plant rooms, primary and secondary heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water services, air source and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, radiator systems, distribution pipework, gas services, above-ground drainage, sanitaryware and ventilation.

Every package is carefully planned to integrate with the wider construction programme and coordinate effectively with other trades. We understand the importance of accurate setting out, buildable designs, controlled procurement, clear communication, safe working practices and thorough quality assurance.

Our team combines practical site experience with strong technical knowledge and hands-on project management. This enables us to identify risks early, resolve issues efficiently and maintain consistent standards from pre-construction through to completion. Whether delivering a complete mechanical package or a specialist scope, our focus remains on programme, quality, performance and reliability.

We believe the buildings of the future should be efficient, reliable and sustainable. Low-carbon technologies only achieve their full potential when systems are correctly designed, installed, commissioned and maintained. Our approach focuses on real-world performance, energy efficiency, maintainability and long-term value—not simply the installation of equipment.

Our goal is to be a dependable mechanical-services partner for commercial construction projects throughout the South East.
