Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical maintenance team, including electricians and instrumentation technicians.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the plant's electrical distribution systems, including power supply, cabling, earthing, and protection systems.
  • Diagnose electrical faults, lead troubleshooting efforts, and coordinate timely repairs to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of electrical installations and equipment to identify risks and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Maintain accurate electrical maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history logs.
  • Monitor and manage electrical spare parts inventory; coordinate with the Maintenance & Material Manager on procurement requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE requirements, PPE standards, and plant safety regulations at all times.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, incident investigations, and HSE training sessions.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of electrical team members.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on electrical equipment performance, maintenance activities, and downtime incidents for management review.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, providing technical direction and hands-on support as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in mining, coal processing, or heavy industrial plant operations is strongly preferred.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
