Electrical Superintendent - Cedar Rapids, IA

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of people as a top priority while managing the performance and reliability of the electrical systems at ADM’s Cedar Rapids Corn Processing Complex that includes a Corn Wet Mill, Corn Dry Mill, and Cogeneration Facility. This position requires a strategic, process driven leader who will manage ADM and contractor colleagues to drive results in electrical infrastructure reliability and safety. They will collaborate with Operations, Asset Management, Engineering, and Project Teams to deliver continuous improvement to the complex wide electrical maintenance and reliability program.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Lead, support and model a strong safety culture
  • Lead maintenance and reliability of the full electrical distribution system including High, Medium and Low voltage systems.
  • Drive improvements in system reliability to reduce electrical-related production losses
  • Lead and Develop the Electrical Maintenance Supervisors, and Electrical & Instrumentation Planners
  • Drive continuous improvement practices and methodologies
  • Owns electrical reliability metrics and utilizes continuous improvement methodologies to implement and sustain improvements.
  • Collaborate with departments on annual budget and long-term budgeting strategy
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Support problem solving and troubleshooting efforts of electrical system disruptions

Preferred Skills:

  • 5+ years of electrical distribution experience including strong focus in electrical safety, maintenance and reliability programs
  • Degree in Electrical Engineer, other electrical studies or equivalent work experience
  • People leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams comprised of salaried and hourly colleagues
  • Experience leading and managing productivity of contractor resources
  • Strong knowledge of related NEC, NFPA and IEEE requirements and standards.
  • Experience managing/executing electrical capital projects in a manufacturing plant setting

Environment:

  • Primarily Monday – Friday, but available for operations outside of standard working hours
  • Work with various chemicals and caustics
  • Stand for long periods of time

  • Walk long distances

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$92,800.00 - $172,800.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
