Boskalis has an extensive and versatile fleet comprising around 600 vessels and auxiliary equipment which can be deployed in the optimal configuration for each individual project. You can imagine that Boskalis has a lot to offer you in terms of technical challenges with this fleet and equipment.

In the role of electrical superintendent you will make your mark being responsible for availability and reliability of Electrical systems on our worldwide fleet of vessels.

You will be vital in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability of our designated fleet. As Electrical superintendent, you will coordinate repairs and modification. You will be part of the E&I department and located in Papendrecht. You will be working together with fleet management, crew, suppliers and other specialist. The role encompasses responsibility for the technical performance of ElectricalI installations on the assigned equipment and the execution of the maintenance.

Your responsibilities as electrical superintendent

  • Ensuring availability and reliability of Electrical installations on our vessels and equipment.
  • Advice fleet management regarding electrical systems on our vessels and equipment
  • Support the crew for electrical issue’s on boardPreparation of dockings and repairs on electrical equipment in close cooperation with fleet management
  • Coaching and training - on - the - job of Ship's Electricians
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance, and long-term maintenance and or replacement of Electrical system.
  • Advise on technical proposals from suppliers.
  • Contributing to E&I projects for repairs and modification.

You can move ahead as electrical superintendent if you have:

  • Technical and operational knowledge of assigned equipment.
  • Higher Professional Education (Bachelor): Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the applicable Occupational Health & Safety rules and classification and flag state certificates.
  • Basic skills in ICT Office and fleet management systems.
  • Experience: 5 - 8 years relevant experience in a maritime environment.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis.

  • Your team As electrical superintendent you are a member of our corporate Fleet Management Team and you will report to the fleet manager.
  • Where you will work For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
  • Full/part-time job The position of fleet manager E&I is a full-time (40 hours a week) job.
