We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical field activities on a semiconductor project in Santa Clara, CA. This is a new role focused on managing subcontractors, coordinating installations, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in medium voltage electrical systems and semiconductor/cleanroom environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day electrical subcontractor activities in the field and ensure schedule adherence.
  • Coordinate RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals with the Engineer of Record through the Construction Manager.
  • Conduct daily field whiteboard meetings with subcontractors to review progress, coordinate tasks, and resolve conflicts with other disciplines.
  • Oversee testing documentation for electrical systems and coordinate with commissioning and QA/QC teams.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly workgroups with client, owner, design, and subcontractor teams.
  • Develop action lists, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company protocols, including NFPA 70E.
  • Support electrical commissioning and testing of medium voltage switchgear (12.4kV and 4.6kV) and cables.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to field personnel to maintain high-quality work and safe practices.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation and supervision, managing subcontractors and field activities.
  • Skilled in medium voltage systems, specifically 12.4kV and 4.6kV switchgear, including testing and commissioning.
  • Strong project coordination abilities, including running daily field meetings and collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Ability to build, update, and maintain schedules while tracking action items and resolving issues.
  • Experience with electrical commissioning and QA/QC processes.
  • Ability to manage technical documentation such as testing records and punch lists.
  • Strong understanding of safety compliance, particularly NFPA 70E standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide field personnel and run meetings effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address installation, coordination, and scheduling challenges.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  • Electrical trade certification or equivalent training
  • NFPA 70E certification
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

The pay range shown reflects the minimum and maximum hourly rates the company may offer for this position. The final rate will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications.

Hourly Rate $45$55 USD

Eligibility is determined according to company policy and applies only under specific conditions related to job location and travel requirements.

Bi- Weekly Per Diem $2,800$2,800 USD
