
Electrical Reliability EngineerAs our Electrical Reliability Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of our plant's electrical systems. You'll lead efforts to improve equipment reliability, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and drive continuous improvements across critical plant assets. Your work will span a wide range of equipment, including electrical distribution systems (substations, transformers, switchgear, and protective relays), low- and medium-voltage motor controls, variable frequency drives and soft starters, PLCs, UPS and battery charger systems, and electric heat tracing. Safety & Environmental Leadership
Champion a strong safety culture by prioritizing the well-being of employees, contractors, the community, and plant assets.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements while promoting best practices across the site.
Provide electrical safety leadership for maintenance activities, capital projects, and contractor work.
In This Role, You Will
Develop, optimize, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize the reliability of critical electrical equipment.
Identify and resolve electrical reliability issues that improve plant performance, uptime, and operational efficiency.
Partner closely with maintenance electricians to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement long-term reliability solutions.
Develop, update, and improve electrical procedures while ensuring compliance through regular field observations and audits.
Lead the planning and execution of the site's annual electrical shutdown, coordinating internal teams and contractors to safely maintain and upgrade high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
Train, mentor, and help develop the site's electrical maintenance team by leading technical training and skills qualification programs.
Serve as the site's Electrical Classification Lead and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support the design, installation, startup, and commissioning of capital projects requiring electrical expertise.
Maintain and update the site's electrical system studies, including protective relay coordination, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash hazard assessments using industry-standard engineering software.
The following are required for the role
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
A foundational understanding of electrical codes and standards, including NEC and NFPA, with a desire to continue expanding your technical expertise.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams.
A safety-first mindset and commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to a variety of audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Curiosity, initiative, and a passion for continuous learning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The following are preferred qualifications:
0–3 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in an industrial manufacturing, chemical, or other process manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment, including motors, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starters, and related power distribution systems.
Experience using engineering and maintenance software such as:
SAP
AutoCAD
SKM Power System Software

Base Pay Range: $71,900 - $105,490
The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
