We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team on a large-scale data centre project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of all electrical systems, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities include managing subcontractors, coordinating with other disciplines, and driving progress from procurement through to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead productivity by implementing effective weekly and daily work plans.
• Coordinate all electrical design and installation activities with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Supervise and monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Uphold the highest Quality and Safety standards through diligent implementation and monitoring of procedures.
• Track labour, manage resource allocation, and maintain accurate productivity records.
• Oversee the complete electrical installation across all project phases.
• Engage proactively with clients and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
• Liaise with design teams and subcontractors to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Lead, mentor, and support project teams, supervisors, and foremen to drive performance and accountability.
• Collaborate with foremen to ensure materials, equipment, and information are in place for safe, efficient work execution.
• Coordinate activities with other subcontractors to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient site operations.
• Review and approve project documentation and foremen reports, ensuring timely closeout of all issues.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly reports, including incident/accident summaries, schedule updates (planned vs. Actual), 4–6-week labour lookahead, industrial relations updates, 2–4-week material and long-lead procurement forecasts, weekly variation log (issued to QS) and notifications of delays, disruptions, or risks
• Chair weekly project meetings with key stakeholders, including Foremen, Safety, QA, and BIM teams.
• Ensure all meeting actions are documented, assigned, and closed out before the following meeting.
• Maintain clear and accurate meeting minutes with defined action ownership.
Requirements
• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in eletrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in Project Management, ideally on large-scale projects, ideally data centres, pharmaceutical, or industrial.
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting capabilities.
