Introduction

Our engineering department is the coordinating force behind many investment projects. From the earliest design stage, the department is closely involved in the concept of a new installation. Together with the users, they carefully assess all requirements, after which designers develop the concrete plans in consultation with the production departments. The engineering department is also responsible for coordinating the various worksites and closely supervises subcontractors.

What does the job entail?

Your Mission :

Contribute to or manage projects in electricity for the production departments in Liège

  • Activities :

    Manage the implementation of investment projects (or part of) from the study phase, through the assembly phase, testing and until the commissioning of the equipment as per the investment file and the CIPM standards
  • Carry out studies, planning, budget, choice of potential suppliers during the pre-project phases (feasibility study, functional and technical design) and participate in the drafting of the investment file, relying on colleagues support as and when needed.
  • Organize the project into batches of orders based on available internal resources and suppliers’ capacities
  • Manage the project or work as part of the project team
  • Carry out and coordinate benchmarks as part of the investment file and/or during the project implementation phases
  • Define the purchasing strategy together with EPO/AMCG, achieve technical alignment of offers and validate with EPO/CG the choice of suppliers
  • Develop technical documents (technical specifications, plans, layouts, calculation notes, etc.), compare and evaluate technical solutions and seek improvements
  • Approve the electrical diagrams and functional analyses
  • Manage the design safety approach to ensure the absence of accidents during works and ensure compliance with environmental rules
  • Ensure budget and planning monitoring with the portfolio manager
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of the work carried out and the documentation
  • Manage the safety during construction, and ensure equipment conformity (CE compliance, legal and regulatory compliance, etc.)
  • Report on the progress of the project (the actions carried out and own activities, the results and performances of the team) and the communication of the project
  • Finalize the project (end of business report, archiving, lifting of reserves, participation in reliability actions, spare parts, maintenance plan, etc.)


Are you the right candidate?

  • You have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • You have a first experience with project management in an industrial environment.
  • Your excellent communication skills (in French and English) allow you to communicate to several stakeholders.
  • The problem-solving capabilities you have obtained allow you to efficiently tackle problems and manage projects.
