The Role

This individual will lead electrical engineering design efforts for a variety of commercial and industrial facility projects while collaborating closely with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders. The person will be responsible for developing electrical system designs, coordinating multidisciplinary project activities, and supporting successful project delivery from concept through construction.

  • Lead electrical system design efforts utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for commercial, institutional, industrial, and mission-critical facility projects.
  • Develop construction documents, technical specifications, electrical calculations, and supporting engineering analyses.
  • Design and coordinate power distribution systems, lighting systems, electrical modeling, and arc flash studies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project coordination and delivery.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control initiatives while maintaining high standards for engineering accuracy and project execution.
  • Meet with clients and stakeholders to discuss conceptual designs, project requirements, and final engineering solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior engineering staff while contributing to a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to support construction observation, inspections, and project coordination activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required along with five or more years of electrical engineering design experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required.
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD, Revit, electrical system design, and construction documentation required.
  • Understanding of International Building Codes along with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Experience supporting large commercial, healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, or institutional projects preferred, along with familiarity with RSMeans or related tools.
