Job Description

Our client, a leading Civils Contractor, is currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of various electrical infrastructure projects across Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating electrical works, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and supporting project delivery from design through to commissioning. This is a long-term opportunity with a strong pipeline of work and an excellent benefits package The preferred candidate will have a solid background in electrical engineering, strong site coordination skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors and technical documentation effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate electrical works across multiple civil infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support procurement and manage delivery of electrical materials and equipment.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports, schedules, and handover documentation.
• Conduct inspections and testing of electrical installations.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support to site teams.
• Ensure all electrical works are completed in line with project requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an electrical engineering role, ideally within civil or utilities projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage site-based activities.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
