If you are interested in a hands-on, continuous improvement-oriented, fast-paced role in a world-class manufacturing environment then our Manufacturing Process Manager role is for you. This is a chance to be on the production floor, troubleshooting and problem solving on the fly to ensure we meet our production goals. This is a chance to develop as a leader, change agent, and Engineer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Front-line manager role supervising operations and maintenance execution in a 24/7 production facility.
Own your team's development through upskilling and on the job experiences to increase team engagement and drive results
Promote and encourage safe working practices.
Aids in the development and training of electrical department personnel. Identify training needs and implements the most efficient way of implementing training.
Provides further definition on support of production activities. Assists by defining electrical activities to support both long term and short term goals. Identifies tracking methods and means of structure to support these activities. Provides necessary feedback to accomplish these tasks.
Provides further definition and assists in translating of plant business objectives into daily activities, examples would include:
Maximizing efficiency in preventive maintenance. Define requirements for parts staging, standardization of parts staging, review an updating of annual PM’s.
Standardized approaches to maintenance.
Improved reliability: Root cause issues and reducing repeatability of failures. Uses of alternate methods or implementation of selected improvement – High flex cable
Acts as a technical resource for team members in order to meet business objectives.
Acts as a resource to operation departments and helps identify strategies for production optimization and reduction of downtime.
Helps identify recurring barriers and helps provide clarification to operational departments.
Provides feedback on issue resolution and aids in development of standardized approaches to programming and equipment operation.
Reviews electrical switchgear daily and quarterly. Generates target areas and provides a business case for recommended spending.
Schedules yearly, monthly and weekly maintenance activities. Works to improve content.
Identifies and track spending to meet objectives.
Actively listens to team members and provide feedback on objective completion. Works to ensure best possible practices are implemented which support both long term and short term objectives. Examples include:
Talking regularly
Implementation of CMR’s
Standardization of WO’s
Weekly communications
Daily communications
Sets expectations for work standards and work practices. Actively listens and sets standards for all shifts. Ensures work standards are met and work practices are adhered to.
Communicates regularly with team and operations departments. Aids in defining objectives and supports clarification of issues around control and electrical support.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree is required, but a concentration in engineering, science, or related subject area is strongly preferred.
Willingness to work any shifts required
Willingness to work weekends based
Strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example.
High comfort level with change, along with strong influencing skills catalyzing others to change.
Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
Technical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
