Today, we are recruiting for a Electrical Power Working Student working student to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for students looking to gain practical experience in digital tools, reporting automation, and site operations within one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Support the site team with electrical installation activities, including cable terminations, power supply equipment, DC Battery Backup Systems (110VDC), SCADA, MV equipment, and 220kV equipment.
  • Assist with activities related to the connection of electrical equipment to the national electricity provider in accordance with contract and design requirements.
  • Monitor and report the progress of electrical installation activities across the project sites.
  • Support the preparation and follow-up of progress reports, field instructions, and site documentation.
  • Assist in inspecting and reporting material damages and supporting the analysis and documentation of identified issues.
  • Support the preparation of site and section status reports, including inputs for As-Built documentation and review of red-mark drawings.
  • Assist with preparing and updating installation schedules and progress reports according to project requirements.
  • Support material quantity verification and quality checks for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Review project technical specifications and support the site team in ensuring installation activities comply with applicable requirements.
  • Support the preparation and review of method statements and required Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) documentation, and participate in toolbox talks.
  • Participate in commissioning activities and acceptance tests for electrical power equipment under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Support maintenance follow-up and ensure relevant activities and evidence are properly recorded.
  • Work predominantly at project sites along the Egypt High-Speed Rail corridor.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications or Mechatronics Engineering with good command of English and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, technical documentation, data analysis, or engineering-related university projects.
  • No prior professional experience required; internship or academic project experience is preferred.
  • Communication, teamwork, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Solid awareness and implementation of safe electrical power switching and isolation
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and in several site locations with the willingness to travel.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
