Boswell – Electrical Design Engineer (Junior to Mid-level Power Engineer)

Boswell offers a rare yet genuine blend of stability, mentoring by engineering professionals and a "family feel".  This role is needed to work daily in our South Hackensack, NJ HQ office (when not needed to travel to client sites) and is not a remote role.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Project Managers on projects that range from replacing a breaker at a substation to an entire new substation and/or transmission line upgrades
- Typical substation projects may be breaker replacement, cap bank heaters, bus work, transformer replacement, control house rehab or replacement, extending a substation yard, or a new substation
- Typical transmission line projects may be replacing insulators, replacing the OPGW, adding circuits, or a new transmission line
- Commercial or Industrial Power Systems Engineering and Design experience is also requested by both new and existing clients.
- Adhere to internal and client standards, policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or closely related Engineering degree
- 3+ years of professional engineering experience in design and engineering of low, medium and high‑voltage electrical projects either:  a) Commercial/ Industrial Power  OR  b) Utility/ Generation Power   OR    c) Low, Medium or High voltage Sub-transmission, transmission or substation experience for major electric utilities
- Current Engineering in Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license(s) are highly preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer proficiency with design experience using AutoCAD and other software
